In developing the Accord, Honda engineers scrutinised every detail, improving performance at every opportunity. Innovation followed innovation, outside and inside. So you’ll find the Accord has sculpted bumpers to help the air flow more easily around them and wipers that fit flatter and flusher to the windscreen resulting in reduced wind and noise. There are High Intensity Discharge headlights (HID – available on 2.4 i-VTEC EX with ADAS), and a V shaped grille. This not only looks imposing, but improves aerodynamics. With a luxurious interior and agile handling, it’s an immensely satisfying car to drive.
The interior of the Accord is a very special place to be. Sumptuous materials and sophisticated design combine with the latest innovations for total comfort and control. There’s a sporty gearshift, individual climate control zones for both driver and passenger, deep armrests and a multi-function driver computer. On EX models you’ll find leather and electrically adjustable heated seats. It’s typically refined and understated. Typically Honda.
Every car has the same basic ingredients, but it’s Honda’s ability to take them beyond the norm that makes such a difference. In the Accord, for example, the gearshift is sporty and tactile and on the 5-speed automatic transmission, grade logic recognises different driving styles and conditions and will select the optimum gear ratio for you. The multi-function driver computer keeps the driver up to date on everything from current fuel consumption to miles left in the fuel tank, whilst Bluetooth technology means taking those essential phone calls is safer and less intrusive. If you need to find your way, simply speak to the Satellite Navigation system without taking your eyes from the road.
