- September: James Roberts is appointed Director of Used Car Operations
2006
- Trident is awarded the Honda Legend franchise.
2005
- September: Trident has relinquished their Thames Ditton operation
- August: Trident Ottershaw changes to the Honda franchise (see Ottershaw Honda page)
- April: MG Rover goes into Administration
2004
- December: Roy Hubbard, Trident's Sales Director for 39 years, retires.
- March: Trident has decided with regret to close the satellite Surbiton branch. The close proximity to our main site at Thames Ditton, coupled with escalating administrative costs made the site uneconomic. Thames Ditton is now able to offer an extended used display.
2003
- Trident awarded MG XPower Franchise at Ottershaw .
- Trident opens Surbiton branch, a satellite of Thames Ditton offering used Honda cars.
2002
- Trident Garages (Thames Ditton) Ltd formed to take over the Honda main dealer sites in Thames Ditton. Stephen Henderson appointed Dealer Principal.
- Trident Weybridge changes to Honda franchise.
2001
- Woking satellite branch now sold to Majestic Wine.
2000
- BMW sell Rover Cars to the Phoenix Consortium.
- Woking satellite branch closed, following the successful completion of our Weybridge branch and the expansion of our Ottershaw Branch.
- Trident awarded the first MotorTrader Digital Dealer Award 2000 as the UK's most switched-on virtual car retailer.
- Christopher Roberts (Finance & Systems Manager and Company Secretary) is appointed Finance Director.
1999
- Redeveloped Ottershaw forecourt and expanded used car display areas.
- Stephen Henderson (General Manager of Weybridge branch) appointed Commercial Director.
- Trident Weybridge awarded the ISO9002 quality accreditation.
1997
- Acquired freehold of Lex Dealership site at 30 Queens Road, Weybridge . Completed a total knock-down and rebuild to prestige dealership.
- Acquired freehold of Red Cross Centre in Ottershaw adjacent to dealership to provide additional parking.
1996
- Trident launched, what we believe to be, the first Rover and MG franchised dealer web-site in the UK and probably in the world.
- Richard Roberts appointed Managing Director.
1995
- Appointed one of the first 100 MG Dealers, out of 600 UK dealers, one of only a few dealerships to match or exceed 100% of Rover's criteria.
1994
- Ottershaw Awarded the ISO9002 quality accreditation.
1991
- Purchased freehold premises in Goldsworth Road, Woking. Rebuilt as pioneer satellite Rover dealership.
1990
- Appointed Rover Main Dealer for Woking area and granted distribution rights.
- Richard Roberts appointed Commercial Director.

- Appointed Main Dealer for Austin Rover .

- Trident appears in episode "Visiting Fireman" of the TV Series The Sweeney on Monday, 20 September 1976 at 9.00pm.

- Trident Garages (Ripley) Limited sold.

- Premises rebuilt at Ottershaw incorporating new showroom and workshop.

- Appointed Rover Retail Dealer.
- Relinquished Rootes franchise.

- Trident relinquished lease on Church Street premises and transferred business and staff to Ottershaw .

- Trident Garages (Ripley) Limited incorporated.
- Purchased petrol filling station in Ripley.
- Leased garage premises in Church Street, Woking.
- Appointed Triumph and Rootes dealers.
- Trident appointed Licensees of Shell petrol station opposite main site.
1963
- Trident Garages Limited is incorporated.
- Purchased Rootes and Triumph dealers "Moore's Garage" in Ottershaw on 1 July (previously the Gardener's Arms pub and filling station).
